Great Dane

 Puppy (2,0)

1st- Lipman’s Lisvane Burlesue 8mt B presenting a lovely shape, very proud with good length of head. Well made in front showing good forechest. Good rear building nicely. Very together for one so young. Steady true ground covering movement, holding her frame well. As the day went on she just got better. Pleased to award BP and Puppy Group 1 then thrilled to hear she went Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Well done

2nd Nunn’s Roshanun Zeus Cummum Deum

1st- Kingsley’s Dainoak Vos Liberabit TAF. A very promising young Harlequin. Good length of head that one doesn’t usually see in a harly, strong neck to well laid shoulders. Deep chest, needs to build over the loin. Well muscled rear used on the move. True easy powerful yet elegent mover. BOB

1st Gwyn’s Midcott My Blue Phoenix Pushed all the way by 2nd place but this 2 ½ yr Blue B just held on. Very nice outline and good head. Eyes could be tighter. Well made fore and aft, good topline, true steady mover. RBOB

1st Thomas’ Trebrad Eye To Eye at Ceetee. 2yr Red D. Masculine all through, well proportioned head of good width and with dark eye and good earset. Well made fore and aft, deep chest, well ribbed to strong loin. Powerful mover. Not quite the size of the open winner. RBOB

2nd        Mangat’s Chalfs Stacey of Nehrani

1st Mangat’s Chalfs Nehru of Nehrani. What a super young man. 2yr Brindle. Strong, powerful , masculine! Loved his large square head with dark eye and correct ears. Well muscled neck and shoulders, deep, broad chest, strong loin and a lovely rear. True powerful mover. BOB and Group 2.

1st Weston’s Bernfawr Goody Two Shoes. This young lady stood alone but worthy of her place. Lovely shape and type. Very good head with dark eye. Well laid shoulders over well sprung ribs of good depth. Level topline, good width of ham behind. Lovely profile mover. BOB

1st Morgan’s Ebrill Hell Has No Fury. This 15mth Brown/Rust boy was out to give his handler a hard time but nothing could detract from his quality. Presenting a lovely shape with correct top and underlines. Excellent head, lovely neck, well made fore and aft. Powerful and well muscled. Needs to be moved faster to attain his true potential.  I felt spoilt having 2 lovely specimens in the challenge. RBOB

1st Caffel & Kavanagh’s Doberway Chito Achaffa JW ShCM. What a stunning young dog. 2yrs and maturing perfectly.  Super shape, Masculing yet refined, long lean head, dark eye and good ears. Super shoulders over deep ribs. Super top and underlines to an excellent rear. Excells on the move and handled to maximum advantage.  BOB and Group 1

1st       Mills’ Raltan Silver Star. Headed up a class of very nice girls.  She just had the edge on movement. Liked her head. Well made fore and aft with good top and underlines. Best mover , true coming and going with a powerful driving profile action. RBOB

2nd      Lloyd & Davies’ Westfalen’s Miriacle Design at Desalinnah
3rd      Court’s Megalmar Frau Farbissina

Res       Hopgood’s Bevanray Ocean. The baby of the class. Only 8mths but showed her class. Not being the most cooperative but when she settles she has a very nice outline.   Pleasing head and well made. Has a lot of maturing to do but has the raw ingredients needed. BP and Puppy Group 3

1st Allen’s Snowallen Man Friday 18mth D, Presents a good shape but I would like a little more of him. Pleasing head with good ears and nice eyes. Well laid shoulders over well sprung ribs and good depth of chest. Well muscled and nicely angulated rear. Powerful mover. Handler needs to be more assertive with him to gain control. RBOB

2nd      Jenkins’ Snowallen Ruby Tuesday

1st Price & Gates’ Snowallen Thor De Lunartico. Standing alone but the strong powerful 2yr old was worth of his place. Presented a good outline of good size with correct topline.  Liked his head. Excellent shoulders, deep chest strong loin to well muscled rear of good width. Strong, powerful, true mover. BOB and Group 4. Pleased to hear these were the last points for his Sh CM, congratulations.

A difficult class with such a variety of ages and differing types. Interesting to see so many imports.

1st Rees’ Winter Melody Hot on The Top at Amical (Imp Pol) JW 2yr red D. Liked his outline. Nice head with good eyes and ears. Good front assembly with well laid shoulders & deep chest. Well muscled rear gives him a powerful driving action on the move. True fore and aft which won him BOB

2nd Atkins’ Articskies Snow Fairy RBOB

3rd Morris’ Winter Melody Truth Temptation for Cwnhapus (Imp Pol) 11mth grey B. liked her for type and outline. Lovely head and eye. Well made all through and a super mover which put her over some of the older dogs. BP and Puppy Group 2

1st O’Mahoney & Davies’ Red Bull Of Fire –7 mth Dogue de Bordeaux. What a lovely young man! Good size with a lovely head. Well laid shoulders over a broad deep chest. Good bone and feet. Developing rear end. Steady on the move and was feeling the heat today but that couldn't detract from his overall quality. Best AV Puppy

1st George’s Debutante vom Schloss Ehrenberg mit Daserbe (Imp Deu) 16mth Giant Schnauzer. Super outline and very well prepared and presented. Good head planes and nice dark eye. Well made force and aft with correct top line. Super mover behind and in profile. RBOB

1st George’s Kawa’s Intrepid von Daserbe (Imp Deu) 14mth Giant Schnauzer. Another lovely specimen from this handler. A masculine version of my PG winner. Well made with super shoulders, good ribs and a well muscled rear. Good harsh coat. Somewhat distracted on the move but showed enough to win BOB and Group 3.
