Puppy Dog (4,2a)

1st          Hall & Danks-Kemish’s Kilnrae Hallmark Over Kenlinhall

Really like this young man for his type and shape. Correct head with good proportions and a dark eye. Good length and arch of neck into well laid shoulders, straight front and upright pasterns. Well ribbed back to a short deep loin. Correct rear angles. Level topline, good tailset and coat developing. On the move he is a joy to watch for one so young. True coming and going and free in profile with lovely drive. Considered for RBD but just needs time. One to watch. BP

2nd         Hamilton-Smith’s Kilnrae Signature

Litter brother to my winner but not at all alike. This boy is much shorter through the body giving a different outline but as he matures this may change. Similar in head with a little more flew but the same dark eye. Good reach of neck and well made forequarters. Good depth through chest and loin and a well angled rear. Not as clean on the move

Junior Dog (3,0a)

1st          Hall & Danks-Kemish’s Kilnrae Hallmark Over Kenlinhall (SeePD)

2nd         Wrigley’s Kattandale Canterbury (AI).

Broader in head than 1. Very well made forehand with well laid shoulders and good return to upper arm. Well sprung ribs and I liked his depth through chest and loin. Good muscle definition to the rear. Move well with drive

3rd Knight’s Benbuie Thorntree

Open Dog (5,1a)

1st         Alcorn, Baddeley & Crowther’s Sh Ch Lourdace Fulcrum JW

What can I say that has not been said about this boy. So pleased to be able to get my hands on him. Stands out and has a presence about him. Good depth to the head with correct breadth. Strong slightly arched neck to super forequarters, well muscled and well laid shoulders, excellent forechest, deep chest and a straight front with plenty of bone. Short coupled with a deep firm loin, level topline and correct tail carriage. Carrying a good coat, not over done. Well muscled rear used on the move to give plenty of drive. True fore and aft with a lovely tail action level with his back. Easy to see why he has won so much. BD, BOB and Group 4

2nd        Mcavoy’s Laurelhach Bemm

Another D that commands attention but in a less assuming manner. Standing quietly in the shadow of the winner this boy also has a lot to like. Correct proportions to his head, dark eye. Nice arch to neck and another that is well made. Super shoulders and good forechest, nice bone with good pasterns and feet. Deep chest and good spring to ribs. Short loin that could be a tad deeper.  Lovely rear angles. Steady mover with enough drive. A pleasure to award RBD

3rd  Hill’s Marshmoor Bergamot With Kydarin

Puppy Bitch (3,2a)

1st          Evans’ Lainnireach Divine Von Langstrumpf

Such a baby at her first show. Pretty feminine head, well made front with good bone, nice pasterns and feet. Lovely level topline, chest still developing but nice depth to loin. Correct rear angles and for one so young, settled well on the move showing a nice easy gait with good drive

Junior Bitch (5,3a)

Not much to choose between these 2

1st          Roberts’s Birchgarth Be Bop For Mirkwood

This B presents a nice outline, feminine yet with strength. Pleasant head, perhaps a tad long in the muzzle, good neck and well made front. Nice bone with correct pasterns. Lovely depth and spring of rib back to a short deep loin. Well muscled and well angulated rear. Level topline. Better of the 2 on the move today.

2nd        Wrigley’s Kattandale Black Fern (AI).

Longer cast than 1, pleasing head and neck. Nice bone, pasterns slightly sloping.  Good spring and depth of rib, slight tuck up to well muscled and angulated rear. Moving a little close going away but nice in profile.

Graduate Bitch (9,2a)

What a lovely class to judge and very close between 1 & 2.

1st          Phillips & Watkins’ Flaxheath Top Model At Glenmaurangi

This young lady set the benchmark in the class. Love her head, feminine of good proportions. Super fore quarters, well laid shoulders, good forechest. Correct depth to chest and loin.  Lovely rear angles, well muscled and what a mover. True coming and going then free with plenty of drive in profile. Will soon be taking top honours. RBB

2nd         Thomas’ Chartan Treacle Tart JW

Really pushed the winner hard.  Very similar to 1st with many of the same attributes. Just preferred the forehand of my winner.

3rd       Mawby’s Burroughtof Star Symphony

Open Bitch (3,1a)

1st          Nagaty’s Forester’s Xclusive Edition at Marlbeck (Imp Deu).

I liked this lady last time I judged her and I still do. Feminine head with correct shape & proportions. Correct length of neck sweeping into a level topline. Well laid shoulder over deep, well spring ribs through to a short deep loin. Strength throughout the body but with a feminine quality. Lovely rear angles and well muscled. Nice mover, correct reach and drive and true coming & going. BB

2nd         Thomas’ Chartan Hermione Grainger

Slightly longer cast than 1, pleasing head, greying a little, good shape. Nice spring of rib and depth of chest. Lovely rear angles.  Could be tidier coming and going but free in profile.
